时值春暖花开之际，3月17日至22日，“李守白海派重彩春季展”将在上海“云上·朵云”沙龙举行，将展出海派画家李守白先生30多幅近年来的重彩画和雕塑作品。在底蕴浓厚的朵云轩艺术中心欣赏海派艺术，品味李守白先生的浓墨重彩，以及他对上海这座城市的内心情感，实为赏心乐事。

　　现代社会，一切都是标准化生产，我们与熟悉的过去，老物、老屋已经失去联系。过往慢节奏的生活，已经离我们越来越远，甚至连追忆都变得困难。李守白先生一直在捕捉和呈现这种过往的慢节奏生活，在持续十几年的主题创作中，他带给人们异常丰富的艺术作品。观摩这样的艺术作品，与过去的情感联结，让我们不甚唏嘘，让我们胸口变暖。也让我们在快节奏的大城市生活中，慢下来，停下来，歇息片刻。收藏这样的艺术作品，让高速发展造成的心理断层，得到极大的补偿。

　　李守白先生绘画作品的美，有它的线条美，色彩美。线条的质量，色彩的浓淡和关系，是每一个行家所关注的。而仅仅线条的美，已经令人神往。高速发展的社会，几乎每个人都在超负荷运转。仅有的生存空间，也在不断被挤压。如果说身边还有美感的话，那就是商业社会的即时性美感。如果一时间能够欣赏到这样原创的个性化美感，那真是如获至宝，一种审美疲劳顿时消失。

Spring: Female Blooming Beauty

　　"Spring: Female Blooming Beauty" is a collection of representative artworks that portray Li Shoubai's concept of femininity and its relation to the city of Shanghai. Through the use of some characteristic elements like musical instruments, animals, wine, and mirrors, the artist presents in a playful and accessible manner the way that he feels and perceives life. His works depict the relationship between femininity and lifestyle, as well as his personal feelings about the city itself.

　　The setting of his works is his memories of Shikumen residences, where he portrays women's lifestyle and give us a glance on their customs, interests and social relations.

　　The selection of paintings and engravings invites the viewer to enter the room and join Shikumen ladies while listening to their music or having a glass of wine.

　　The furniture, their clothing style, and symbolic elements bring us back to a part of Shanghai that has slowly vanished, a Shanghai where Shikumen neighborhoods represented not only an architectural style but rather the social development of the city that since the end of the 1800's opened its doors to the world. The result of this social development was Haipai culture, a new lifestyle that became unique in China for its ability to merge local and foreign cultures.

　　Haipai became the symbol of a mixed society structured by schoolteachers, civil servants, writers and craftsmen, artists and actors - people who neither belonged to Shanghai's upper class society, nor the impoverished working class. Instead, they comprised the largest segment of Shanghai's urban population, and had the greatest influence on the cultural formation of the city. The selection of sculptures is rich in its style and materials while the use of colors, or the absence of it, invites us to feel the delicate movement and see the feminine style that emanate while walking next to them. The exhibition walks the visitor through a wide variety of media that Li Shoubai uses on his daily practice.
