　　一个人窥视着他人的生活，最终却发现他看到的只不过是自己。

　　这是一部向电影理论致敬的动画短片。“凝视”本身就是电影美学的关键概念，是“看与被看”关系的重要表述。《凝视》中对形式主义电影美学的“画”论、现实主义电影美学的“窗”论和精神分析电影美学的“镜”论分别做了强调，尤其是“镜”。电影是一面镜子，让人重返拉康所说的镜像阶段。而这种镜恋，在一定程度上也是自恋的。《凝视》里男人头上的水仙花是对自恋的象征，来自希腊神话中的纳西索斯。

　　刘书亮，27岁，独立动画人，中国传媒大学2011级动画学硕士毕业生，2014级动画艺术学在读博士生，动画学者，“动画学术趴”创始人。

　　Synopsis

　　One peeps in the lives of others, finding out what he observes is he himself.This work can be regarded as a salute to film theory. The“gaze”is originally an important cinematic conception, representing the relation between“to see”and“being seen”. The Gaze emphasizes the“picture”theory in the formalist aesthetics of movies, the“window”theory in the realistic aesthetics of movies and the“mirror”theory in the psychoanalysis aesthetics of movies respectively, especially the last one. A movie is a mirror, asking people to go back to Jacques Lacan’s mirror phase. The love towards the mirror, to some degree, is also a kind of narcissism. In The Gaze, the daffodil on the man’s head is definitely the symbol of narcissism rooted in the Greek Mythology.

　　Biography of Director

　　Liu Shuliang is 27 years old, independent animation maker, animation scholar, founder of“Animation Academy Party”. Liu graduated with M.A in animation from Communication University of China in 2011. In 2014, he continues his studies for PhD degree in animation art.
