巴黎 / 格恩西

　　这座隶属于巴黎市政府的博物馆坐落于两地：位于巴黎的是孚日广场罗昂-盖梅内(Rohan-Guéménée)公寓，诗人雨果曾于1832年至1848年居住在该公寓二层;另一处位于格恩西岛的奥特维尔故居，这里曾是雨果流亡时的居所，并由其家人于1927年赠与市政府。

　　罗昂-盖梅内公寓于1902年辟为雨果博物馆，这里收藏了大量种类繁多的藏品，足以唤起参观者对雨果的追忆且得以重温其作品。在众多收藏品中，雨果的私人物品、个人肖像、其家人和朋友的肖像以及精美的照片集，以直观的方式展现了大文豪的生活。另一部重要的绘画集则集中展示了大量和雨果有关的插图作品，其中既有绘画和雕塑，也有素描和刻印。另外上万部手稿(书信、他的子女和妻子的手迹等)和一间资料丰富的图书馆，成就了雨果博物馆的一切。

　　在这些收藏中最为特别且最吸引人的当属那些展示了维克多·雨果作为艺术家而鲜为人知的生活的藏品。其实雨果是他那个时代最伟大的画家之一。这里有包括他的代表作在内的700多幅绘画作品，足以使人们了解作为艺术家的雨果的非凡天资以及他在使用墨水方面的技术发明。更不为人所知的是，雨果在装饰设计方面也展现出了非凡的创造力，他把奥特维尔故居打造成了一件真正的艺术品。这是他内心世界的映射，其子曾说这是“通过住所进行的心灵教育”。这一点通过巴黎故居中雨果精心为朱丽叶·德鲁埃(Juliette Drouet)所创作的房屋设计，特别是中国沙龙部分便可见一斑。

　　在所有来到雨果博物馆的参观者中，60%为国外参观者，其中包括许多来自亚洲和中国的客人，没有什么比这更能说明维克多·雨果对全世界的影响依然持续存在的事实。作为巨著《悲惨世界》的作者和民族独立的捍卫者，雨果是公正、自由和人文精神的代表。他对西方列强入侵中国时洗劫圆明园的控诉便是一个强有力的证明。

　　对法国人而言，上海始终是中国最国际化的大都市，是东西方进行对话的地方。也许艺术可以使不同文化间的交流更加顺畅，如同今天在原上海世博会中国馆举办中华艺术宫展览一样。雨果博物馆十分荣幸并欣然受邀参加这次开幕展，并与其他博物馆一道向组织方致以热烈的祝贺。希望这些雨果本人的作品和展现他生活与著作的作品能够传达我们预祝展览获得成功的愿望。世界博物馆领域是一个文化相互交流的世界，展品就是其中的文化使节，我们将以如此方式表达来自世界各地的，献给中华艺术宫开幕的诚挚祝福。

　　The Museum affiliated to the City of Paris is located in two venues: Rohan-Guéménée Hotel at Place des Vosges in Paris, on the second floor of which the poet Hugo once stayed from 1832 to 1848; and Hauteville House in Guernesey, where Hugo once lived when he was exiled, and his family donated it to the municipal government in 1927.

　　Founded in 1902, the Maisons de Victor Hugo preserves rich and diverse collections evoking the memory and works of Victor Hugo. Hugo's personal items, portraits of himself, his family and friends as well as an exceptional collection of photographs lively evoke the poet's life. Another important iconography reflects the abundant illustrations aroused by his work, both in painting, sculpture, and sketch or engraving. Thousands of manuscripts (letters, writings of his children and his wife, etc) and a library with abundant materials complete the collection.

　　The most original and spectacular collection is the one that reveals the less known aspects of the artist Victor Hugo, who was one of the greatest painters of his century. With over 700 drawings including his masterpiece, it allows us to understand his extraordinary talent and technical invention in the use of ink. As known by even fewer people, Hugo also demonstrated outstanding creativity in decoration by making Hauteville House a real art work, which was a projection of his inner world, and referred to as an 'education of the mind through the residence' by his son. This aspect is also visible in the house designed for Juliette Drouet in Guernsey, as can be seen from the Chinese Salon, now in Paris.

　　60% of the visitors of La Maisons de Victor Hugo are foreigners, including those from Asia and especially China. Nothing can better demonstrate the fame and reputation enjoyed by Victor Hugo widely recognized worldwide. As a Defender of All miserable and national independence, Hugo was a representative for justice, freedom and humanism, for which his protest against the sacking of the Summer Palace during the invasion of China by Western powers remains a powerful symbol.

　　As for French, Shanghai has always been the most internationalized metropolis in China, a place best for the dialogue between the West and Orient. Art may facilitate the exchange and communication among different cultures, as in the case of exhibition held by China Art Museum, Shanghai in previous China Pavilion of Shanghai Expo. La Maisons de Victor Hugo is more than glad and honored to be invited to this inaugural exhibition and congratulates along with other museums. We hope that the works of Victor Hugo and those demonstrating his life or his masterpiece can convey our best wishes for great success of the exhibition.
